Funding

It is highly likely that CIS will see a reduction in its state and school district funding next year due to proposed budget cuts at the state level. This makes local support even more critical to the continuation of basic services we provide for at-risk children.

Every year, Communities In Schools of South Central Texas helps 3,000 children in Comal and Guadalupe Counties stay in school and achieve in life. We’ve been named by Worth Magazine as one of the 100 not-for-profit organizations that will save the world. Now, just think what we can accomplish with your assistance. All donations to the organization are tax-deductible. If you would like to be a part of helping our youth to be successful in school and make positive life choices, please contact us or send your contribution to us at:

Thank you for being a part of this important effort.

Communities In Schools of South Central Texas, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. In the 2009-10 school year, our funding from the State Legislature of Texas comprised 35% of the total cost of the program. School district contracts accounted for another 32%. The remainder comes from fundraising efforts, grants, donations, foundation support, and local support from individuals and businesses. We need your help to keep children off the streets and on the road to educational success.
